About Concha Ceanothus (Ceanothus 'Concha')
57 Nurseries Carry This Plant
Add to My Plant List
Concha Ceanothus (
Ceanothus 'Concha'
) is of the oldest and most spectacular of the Ceanothus cultivars. It's likely a hybrid of
Ceanothus impressus
and
Ceanothus papillosus
var. roweanus, both of which are native to the central coast area. This plant is often short lived when grown outside the central coast.
The plant grows quickly, and, particularly in its third or fourth year, will often produce an amazing display of blue flowers. Flower production often tapers off quickly after that.
