About Alkali Bulrush (Bolboschoenus maritimus) Nurseries Show All Photos Bolboschoenus maritimus is a species in the Cyperaceae (Sedge) family known as Alkali Bulrus. This is a strictly wetland plant that is highly tolerant of alkali or salty conditions. It is found throughout California, wherever these conditions exist.
