About San Diego County Viguiera (Bahiopsis laciniata) 16 Nurseries Carry This Plant Bahiopsis laciniata is a native shrub of the Aster family that is restricted to coastal southern California and northern Baja. It is very floriferous and blooms over most of the year. It is known by the common names San Diego Sunflower and Tornleaf Goldeneye.
